As an experienced psychotherapist, I bring a vast amount of expertise and empathy to my practice. With a Master of Arts in Counseling and Psychological Services from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota and 27 years of experience in the recovery community, I specialize in substance and behavioral addiction. Additionally, I have completed all alcohol and drug counselor (LADC) coursework, further enhancing my knowledge. I am not a LADC. My extensive background in recovery and addiction has also allowed me to develop expertise in trauma and anxiety disorders.
Furthermore, I have received training in the Pragmatic-Experiential Method for Improving Relationships ("The PEX Method"). This method incorporates recent advancements in neurobiology and relationship science, providing practical strategies to enhance relationships.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in cognitive-behavioral therapy and psychodynamic theory, which I adapt to address the unique needs of each client. I am deeply committed to establishing a safe and non-judgmental environment where individuals can explore and navigate their challenges, fostering self-discovery and facilitating long-lasting change. Whether you are confronting specific issues or seeking personal growth, I am dedicated to supporting you throughout your healing and well-being journey.
